“There is nothing which has yet been contrived by man by which so much happiness is produced as by a good…….inn”
Samuel Johnson (1776)
Welcome to “The Most Beautiful Hotels”.
beauty (bju:ti)n. – the combination of all the qualities of a person or thing that delight the senses and please the mind.
beautiful a. – possessing beauty; aesthetically pleasing.
Collins English Dictionary
The word “beautiful” seems entirely appropriate because the hostelries included in this listing are most certainly a “delight to the senses”. They embody the very essence of their locations. Whether this be an idyllic and enchanted place overlooking a pristine stretch of sand or landscape or whether the structure reflects the ostentatious and frenetic lifestyle of a city.
Although most of the accommodations offer the comforts and conveniences sought by the modern business commuter, it is the real “traveller” whose requirements this listing seeks to satisfy. The recommended establishments may not appeal to everyone. They will appeal to travellers who have an interest in history, architecture and a genuine local ambience.
This is a selection of truly unique places to stay: Places or rather establishments that are destinations unto themselves. Perhaps they have been associated with famous people of the past? Others may have been included because they reflect all that is most beautiful in a destination, whether it be the classic formality of a Japanese rock garden, a rice-field terraced valley in Bali, or a breath-taking view of an historic site, an expansive desert, lake or ocean.
“The most beautiful hotels” might not necessarily be the most modern, in fact they may well be the oldest, but you can rest assured that you are being introduced to a unique property in a unique setting. Accommodation with a character all its own.
In years to come these accommodations will become increasingly valuable and increasingly expensive. They are like valuable collectors items, even antiques.
When you travel don’t stay at just any hotel. Stay at one of the most beautiful hotels in the world. Rub shoulders with a colourful past, an exciting present, and come away feeling that you have captured the very essence of what you expected to find.
We do not use any system of “Star Rating”. It is implicit that any of the accommodations listed is offering a standard of lodging in line with the accepted standards of the location. Obviously standards will vary greatly from one country to another, especially with China, and this must be very clearly understood. You may not always find luxury but you should always find a rewarding experience.
The best way for you to determine whether these accommodations will interest you, is to locate your own country (if listed), perhaps even your own town, and check to see whether, if you were on holiday or visiting your own part of the world, you would like to stay at the type of establishment listed.
If you would like to stay at the accommodations listed in your part of the world, then you are going to have a wonderful time exploring this website.
It has taken many years of very enjoyable work as a Travel Consultant, nearly forty-five in fact, to accumulate this information.
